New city of Hassi Messaoud

- The project for the construction of the New City of Hassi Messaoud for 80,000 inhabitants and its Logistic Platform aimed at creating a new urban development centre in South-East Algeria capable of housing the existing population of the city in an area prone to geological and environmental risks resulting from heavy oil exploration. This is the most important oil exploration area in Algeria. The road network of the city and the logistic platform has a total length of 170 km. The infrastructural design of the new city included the abstraction of water for human consumption from deep holes (depth of 1,700 m), as well as its treatment, storage and distribution, and wastewater and solid waste collection and treatment. The entire construction area was subjected to earthworks prior to the construction of roads and buildings, and the water supply, wastewater and rainwater sewerage networks.

- Several missions were essentially related to the revision and issue of the review report for the basic designs, the development of the detailed design of earthworks, the implementation of the road network and the general modelling of the land for buildings and the development of the detailed design of water supply, wastewater and rainwater sewerage networks.
